Valley endures hottest day since 2012

Valley denizens experienced the hottest day since 2012 when temperature soared to 35 degree Celsius today.
Barun Poudel, a meteorologist at the Meteorological Forecasting Division, informed  that valley recorded the hottest day after June 13, 2012, on Saturday with the temperature reaching 35 degree Celsius. The temperature was measured at 35.2 degree Celsius on June 13, 2012.
The highest temperature ever measured in the valley was on May 7, 1989, when temperature reached 36.6 degree Celsius.
The division informed that the highest temperature in the country on Saturday was measured in Bhairahawa where mercury level rose to 43.3 degree Celsius. Bhairahawa was followed by Dipayal on 41.5, and Dhangadi on 41.3 degree Celsius.
Likewise, temperature in Nepalgunj reached 42.6, 39.2 in Birendranagar, 38.2 in Dang and 39.8 degree Celsius in Simara, Bara, on Saturday, the division informed.
